This photo shows the handsome solid edge and the recessed dovetail hanging slot on the back of the artist canvas panel. The hanging slot allows the wood panel to be hung flush to the wall with out the need of picture wire, screw eyes, or picture framing. See a detail drawing of the Dovetail Hanging Slot . The 3/8" thick canvas panels can also be framed.

The hanging slot also provides an anchor for the Art Boards™ Wood Easel back. The Easel Back is a triangular hardwood maple support, that positively engages in to the dovetail hanging slot. This allows the canvas panel to be displayed on any horizontal surface, free standing and frameless. See Easel Backs for more details.

The canvas panel has a medium tooth with a surface of Acrylic gesso that is perfect for all forms of painting.
