The Natural Maple cradled wood artist panel has10 separate layers of hardwood. Panel layers are glued in alternating directions with water proof glue. The art panels painting surface is made of 100% Natural Maple hardwood. The wood panels cradled back is architecturally engineered for structural compatibility with the painting surface. The cradled back bracing is made from the same core materiel as the front of the artist panel, making it extremely rigid and stable. The surface of the painting panel is meticulously sanded and ready for the artist to apply their ground of choice. It is the ideal support for Art Boards™ Acrylic Panel Gesso which is specifically made for rigid surfaces and performs like a traditional gesso. Art Boards™Cradled Artist Panel is perfect for all painting mediums including traditional egg tempera, encaustic wax pigments, oil and acrylic paints. Artists also use Maple Cradled Panels as a portable support for the building and painting of fresco panels and backboards for mosaics. Custom size cradled maple art panels are available. |
