Small
Muller has a 2" base, 3" height, 7oz. weight. This Muller is used for small quantity pigment mixing. It is a favorite of artists and musical instrument makers. Violin makers use them for mixing oil and water stains into varnish and shellacs. |

Medium Muller has a 3"
base, 5" height, 18 oz. weight. The Medium Muller is ideal for mixing tempera paints and for many others. |

Large
Muller has a 4" base, 6" height,
40 oz. weight. The Large Muller is used for mixing any pigment or stain in a larger quantity |

are used for mixing and grinding all kinds of pigments by hand.
Mullers are used in mixing fresco,
aqueous media, and in oils or solvents for later use. The Muller size and
weight chosen is a matter of personal preference and may have to do with the
quantity of pigment that is being ground. Sizes and weights are approximate
as each one is made by hand and differ slightly. |
