Art work hangs flush to the wall supported and protected by the unique hanging slots. This photo shows the handsome solid edge and the recessed dovetail hanging slot on the back of the gessoed artist panel. The hanging slot allows the wood panel to be hung flush to the wall with out the need of picture wire, screw eyes, or picture framing. The hanging slot also provides an anchor for the Art Boards™ Wood Easel back. The Easel Back is a triangular hardwood maple support, that positively engages in to the dovetail hanging slot. This allows the gessoed panel to be displayed on any horizontal surface. A free standing frameless painting with its own easel.

The panels smooth sanded painting surface is perfect for all forms of painting and drawing. If a more textured gesso is preferred it can be easily added to the of the smooth built up gessoed surface by applying an additional coat of Art Boards acrylic panel gesso with a brush, roller, or knife.
